Preventing ‘first post’ abuse

    Hello everyone, I was wondering if a plugin existed that prevented people from doing the typical ‘first post’ abuse that you expect to see in the comments of websites, where the admin has permitted commentary?

    Something that looks for key words and decides whether or not they add up to spam/abuse, then either warns them in the form of a message, prior to submission, or simply deletes their message?

    Use Akismet. It’s free and bundled already with WordPress. It will compare comments and commenters against a database of spam and mark spammy comments as such. There’s also an option to have spam messages automatically delete after 1 month (this gives you the chance to double check and see if it’s working correctly).
