Prevent special post types from appearing on home page

    Dear all,

    This is probably a very noob question but I can’t find how to make posts with the ‘quote’ post type only appear in the specific ‘Twenty Fourteen Ephemera’ sidebar widget and not in the main loop on the home page.

    Any idea?
