Prevent short words creeping up alongside images

    Difficult to describe, but on different devices, I get text creeping up alongside an image as in the example below. It looks terrible, but I cannot find a satisfactory way of preventing it.

    • If I centre the image, then it looks awful (and wastes a huge amount of space) on desktop browsers.
    • If I make the image bigger, then it appears cropped on smaller phones…
    • If reduce the right margin to almost nothing, it reduces the problem of the text creeping up, but looks bad because the text is pushed right up to the image…

    If anyone can provide an acceptable resolution to this, I would be most grateful.

    This issue is now resolved. Following guidance in Google Page Speed Insights I specified the size of the images in the WordPress Image Block.

    I am now in the process of removing the image sizes and they now change size according to the browser window size.

    PERHAPS NOT!
    I was clearly a bit hasty when I marked the topic as resolved. If I could delete the whole post and start again, I would. Unfortunately, there appears to be no way to do that.
