[Resolved] Prevent "fetch" when creating links?

  • I don’t see an option anywhere to prevent Pretty Link from fetching link data (like the page title) when a link is created. Is there a quick way to override this behavior?

Something like this would definitely be great because as it stands now, when I create a Pretty Link for an affiliate link Pretty Link actually fetches that data which registers as a clickthrough with most affiliate programs.

Would love to see this feature or find out if there’s a workaround. Thanks!

  • I actually figured out how to do this but it’s rather dirty and it will break when the plugin is updated.

Can I convince you to add a hook for PrliUtils::get_page_title() so that I can override it without losing my changes when you push out an update?

Thank you for considering this, it would be a huge help!

There will be some hooks for this in the next version. Thanks!
