  • I, for some reason, thought that Wordfence had the feature to disable directory browsing to prevent users from viewing files and folders (wp-content, wp-includes, etc, etc). Is this not a feature and best done via .htaccess?

    You will notice that the wp-content directory already contains a very small index.php file that prevents browsing of the directory.

    If WordPress felt that it was necessary to have the same file for the wp-includes directory then they would have done so.
