It is currently not possible to exclude specific images from compressing.
To revert the favicon, you can find it in media library, then click the Delete button to delete it’s AVIF version. See this example screenshot.

That didn’t work. I had to get the favicon from the backup files and re-upload it to the website without compressing it.

Yes, unfortunately, the favicon was not reverted after pressing the delete button on the image. I have no idea why.

Was there any cache on the site? We guess it could be cache-related.

I was improving the speed for my website. I did try a few cache plugins after the image compression and realized later, when I finally got the speeds I was going for, that the favicon is blurry. That’s when I contacted you guys.
