    Hi everyone,

I need help to add prettyphoto to my wordpress theme without the use of a plugin. I’ve checked out a couple of tutorials, but I failed everytime to get prettyphoto to work. I’m using yoko, a theme that is very similiar to twentyeleven.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

Well, how comfortable are you with javascript? You can just download the jquery plugin. Just google pretty photo.

Bigger question is why can’t you use a plugin?

    Hi andrew

I’m not very comfortable with jquery. And I think that is where my problem lies. I’ve added the files from the prettyphoto folder and registered the js and css files in my functions.php. And that is where I get stuck. The reason I don’t want to use plugins is that I don’t want to overload my theme with plugins. I’m working on a multimedia website, so you can imagine how many plugins I would need to use.
