Hello, I am building a local WordPress site on my PC using Local by Flywheel and I get an error “Status Code 60” when I try to load a video into Presto Player. The videos are Web optimized.

I run windows 10 on my PC and my site runs Elementor, LearnDash and WooCommerce. Not sure why this is happening. I’m wondering if it’s because my site is local and not online? or maybe some other plugin is affecting it. This upsets me because I was trying to switch from Vimeo to Bunny Net and Presto Player and bought the lifetime license the other day of Presto Player and it’s not working for me. I can email a screenshot of what I am referring to, to Presto Player Support if they would like. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

(P.S. If worst come to worst are refunds available for Presto Player?)

    Thank You for your time

    Hi There!

Happy to help. This error means there’s an error with CURL and the self-signed SSL certificate on your local install. We’re going to be releasing an update to address this, but rest assured it will work properly on a real, live site.

Just got a Curl error 28 when trying to update Presto Player then the second time I updated it worked. Weird lol. Anyways I wish I knew how to fix the SSL issue in Local. Its been an issue for me since using Local by Flywheel. For whatever reason the SSL certificate wont trust on my local PC and it also causes the pages to run slow when trying to move around in the sites backend. Ive tried searching google for answers and nothing works. I’m guessing that’s still causing the Presto Player issue in my case. I may be on the hunt for a new local development platform that runs better. Hopefully I can figure this out at some point lol

By the way I appreciate the fast response the other day. I’ve been following Adam for several years and his content and products are always top notch.

Thanks for following up! Glad it’s working.

Yes, local ssl sometimes can have issues depending on your setup. Sometimes you might just need to restart you computer or local environment.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, though, I’m happy to help!
