    Hi there,

    I’ve been using MailPoet for my company’s intranet site to notify users of new posts. We recently moved the site external so that it can be accessed by employees even when they aren’t connected to our network. However, I have the site set as private so that employees have to log in to access information.

    I noticed that once we moved external (and to https, not http) my newsletters are not sending on time anymore, if at all. From researching I’m guessing it has to do with the cron (I’ve tried to see if it’s a conflict with a plug in but it does not seem that way)? The few emails that do make it through when I push “don’t wait, send right now” will send just fine, but it will only send ~4 at a time before I have to exit the window and try again. My test emails all work fine and the debugging mode reported no errors.

    Anyway, I wanted to inquire about moving to the Premium version to fix this since you will ping the site every 5 minutes. Because our site is private, I wanted to make sure that your pinging will have an effect – you are prompted with a login screen and cannot view the site until you log in as a registered user of the site. Do you think upgrading to premium will fix this?

    Most likely yes, as these plugins that prevent access to registered users only still allow access to the wp-cron.php file.
