Many thanks – that’s perfectly clear, & I’ve now upgraded. What I can’t understand is why this excellent plugin isn’t more widely downloaded & used – the free version does more than many other better known ones; maybe when I start using the Pro version it’ll all go horribly wrong . . .
You might like to know the website throws up a certfificate error, btw

Ooops! I was joking, but when activating the Pro version I get:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wse_fs() (previously declared in *****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-smart-export/wp-smart-export.php:21) in *****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-smart-export-premium/wp-smart-export.php on line 22
I would just uninstall & start from scratch but I spent a while setting up a profile with the free version & I’d rather not lose that.

Glad you find the plugin useful and thank you for upgrading.
Please make sure you deactivate the free version before activating the premium version.
If you have FTP access to your site you can just rename the free version to something else (it will deactivate the plugin) and then activate the premium version.

All done. Thank you.
In fact, I had to rename the premium folder to allow me to re-install that version, after I’d de-activated the free one.
Maybe include the bit about deactivation in the instructions email for the benefit of idiots like me?
