I have one site that has thousands of images on it and I actually prefer to move all the images manually. I did try on a test site that had far less images and uploaded manually as a test but the links didn’t seem to be updating.

I saw on another post you had mentioned running the link updates in a command line, I run my own server so are you referring to running the command line on the actual server through terminal? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I didn’t understand what that meant and I think this is the best option for me.

Also, is it a problem to delete the images from the actual server once they’re all uploaded to dream objects? That’s really my ultimate goal.

The manual upload can be tricky depending on the server you’re on, the files, the traffic… It’s not a perfect system, and I’m working on streaming it better 🙁

Yes, I meant manually running the files from the server through terminal.

Also the plugin does not delete the images off the server, so as not to be destructive. It’s a dual upload, making it easier to revert. Eventually I want the code to be smarter and fall back to localize f there’s a network issues.

If you wanted to just move all the images and never use the file system, you actually don’t need this plugin!

It’s effectively the same as doing this: http://halfelf.org/2015/static-content-subdomain/
