    Hi!

I am looking for a plugin like this, and I have tested your free version. A couple of questions:

    1) Am I right in assuming that I need the premium version if I want the feed to update automatically e.g. every night?

    2) If yes, is the licence fee 1 single payment or recurring – and are lifetime updates and support included?

    3) I am importing job offers (vacancies). I used the “custom post types” plugin to create a special post type for them and put them in a grid, looks great. But I need each post title (= job title) to link to an EXTERNAL page for the detail information (i.e. the corresponding job description and information on how to apply) FROM THE GRID page. The URLs are provided as part of the feed. When I tested it, I might have put some setting wrong, because I got the titles linked to “internal” pages with the details instead. So just to be safe before I buy (if needed): is it possible to just import [title, image, excerpt] and then have it all be linked to the [external URL] in a new tab?

    Thanks!

    Hi @vonjanne

Currently there is no automatic feed feature.

The pr3m1um version is also closed and all of the features are now part of the free plugin so please feel free to download the latest version and test all of the features.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi!

Thanks for your reply! Not sure if I understand, though.
Does that mean that I cannot use this plugin to import external content which the external partner updates regularly, because there is no way to make my site import the new content regularly? 🙁

That’s correct: there is no automatic regular import functionality. The import needs to be done manually.

Oh, that’s too bad – my test page looked so good! 🙂 But I can’t hit the import button every day, so I’ll have to look for a different plugin then.

    Thanks for your time!

    Hi @vonjanne,

I have the exact same needs as you : a plugin that import xml to create post on a daily basis. Did you find the right one ?

Or did you test a solution with this plugin and a CRON call ?

    Thanks

    Hi @o6low ,

I went for https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-all-import/ and a Cron Job – works like a dream.

    Good luck!

    Thanks a lot @vonjanne !
