    Hi there!

I have a pre-sale question regarding WPC Grouped Product for WooCommerce. We would like to use your premium version to group certain products together and sell as “one”. But I can’t find out how it works with the stock of the items in the group. We sell wool and our customers need certain amounts of different wool and colours to make, for example, a wool sweater.

Let’s say I’m creating a grouped product which contains 2 times product A, and 3 times product B. What happens if the available stock for Product B drops below 3? Can our customer still order the grouped product? Or is the grouped product then “out of stock”. They need specific amounts of wool combined, so ordering less than the required amount (2xA and 3xB) is useless. Is it possible to set the grouped product as “out of stock” of show a “warning message” when the stock of any product in the group is below the required amount?

Thanks in advance and kind regards,

    Mark

    Hi @markvdam ,

For your information, in your case, you should choose our WPC Product Bundles https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-bundle/ plugin instead of this one. This plugin doesn’t offer any pricing, discount or quantity settings for subproducts inside. The subproducts inside a smart grouped product are independent and individual, they are not tied and can be removed at customers’ preferences. The stock of subproducts doesn’t affect the stock of the main grouped.

You can create such a deal using a smart bundle. The stock of the main bundle will be determined by the lowest stock quantity of available subitems inside. You can also set up special pricing, discount, min/max for each item or the whole bundle, stock and everything else. The subproducts will be binded to the main bundle.

You can learn more about stock and bundle settings on this doc: https://doc.wpclever.net/woosb/

    Best regards.

    Hi @janilyn409,

Thank you for getting back to me. Thank you for referring me to your other plugin, that is indeed exactly what we’re looking for. Especially with the possibility to bundle different products together in fixed quantities and with stock management based on the “product availability” for each individual product. I’ve read through your documentation and as far as I can tell that’s exactly what we need.

    Thanks again!

    Regards, Mark
