Pre-Install: Will it work on Plesk VPS with 256 MB RAM?

    This is a pre-installation question. I have a VPS account running on CentOS, with Plesk and with 256 MB RAM. I would like to install WordPress to serve as a vehicle for sharing pictures (potentially large, accompanied by texts), within a community of about 350 people that has, say, about 30 active posters. It is hard to estimate the size of the potential audience, but it would be a publicly accessible blog.

    Is it possible to estimate whether 256 MB of RAM will be sufficient to run such a blog? Can you already tell from my description that it will be insufficient, or will it depend – and if so, on what factors?

    It should. WordPress works fine on regular shared hosting accounts and many of them have high traffic as well. Have one site with 10k hits a day without issue.
