 * Is it possible to practice with wordpress on my own computer as opposed to live
   on the internet. I would like to learn it well before going live. Thank you for
   any input on this, Geomon

 * You can also put your site in a separate folder say yourdomain.com/test/
 * Set the privacy to the second option (block search engines).
 * That way you can work on a site in the test folder and unless you give that url
   to people, no one will know.
