Support » Plugin: Leaky Paywall » Potentially useful system, no user roles, feeble support

  • The concept behind Leaky Paywall is appealing, but any users managing subscriptions or subscribers through this system need to have full admin rights to the WordPress site where it is implemented, as the system does not provide for definition of user roles or rights.

This makes the system unusable for anything beyond a single person operation.

As a subscriber to the company’s paid system, I was told by their head of support to try asking questions on the Codeable platform if we wanted to find help in implementing user roles. So if you need support in using this platform, paid users are effectively told to “go ask the Internet.”

No user roles and lackadaisical support makes it difficult for any publisher to rely on Leaky Paywall as a subscription management solution.
