Potential problem with UM in 5.5

    Hi, I’ll also lodge a support request (premium user), but wanted to post this here as well in case others are having the same problem.

    We upgraded to WordPress 5.5 earlier today, and this caused issues with Ultimate Member (latest version), namely:

    – Registration fields not appearing
    – No profile forms displaying
    – Somebody also sent me an email complaining they couldn’t see a login form, but I didn’t connect the dots until I’d already rolled back

    We have reverted to WordPress version 5.4.2 with no other changes and Ultimate Member items are once more displaying correctly, i.e. this does not appear to be related to a plugin conflict.

    Have you updated the Ultimate member core?
    We’ve released Ultimate member 2.1.7 version.
    Please update to the latest version and let us know.

    Yes, before rolling back WordPress, I checked whether there was a UM core update, and upgraded to 2.1.7. The profile forms were still missing after this, though I didn’t clear the cache–I was in a bit of a state of alarm haha.

    Hi @lauramay7,

    Do you have any caching plugins installed or server side caching active?
    Please make sure to exclude Ultimate member pages from the cache.
    These pages should be excluded:
    /login
    /register
    /user
    /account
    /members
    /password-reset
    /logout

    Hey there,

    Yes, we use server-side caching, and /member/ (rather than /user/) and /password-reset/ were already exempt, as was our main directory page. I’ve added the other exemptions, but as the /member/ page was already exempt from caching, I’m not sure that that could have been the issue?

    I’m having the same problem. WP auto updated Aug 11th and UM auto updated Aug 12th. Can’t see the login form anymore.

    @norazn have your profile forms also gone invisible? I’ve stayed on the reverted-to-5.4.2 version of WordPress for the meantime.

    Currently, we are only using UM to login members.
