pot-file for german translation

    For some hints there is no german translation (Required fields are marked *.) or we can not use the translation for our clients (“Du” but wie need “Sie”). Last year I changed the pot-file. But with the update, this file was overritten and I can not find it anymore.
    Can you tell me where to find it, so that I can make individual translations for the hints?

    Hi,

    yes that is a problem of WordPress. You have to save your language files separately. WordPress will overwrite .po files in the language directory. If you want to have persistant translations, you should use the official way to translate the language strings by using the WordPress GlotPress project, which you can find here:

    There is also a german Sie version you can translate. Just add your strings and ping me, that I can approve your strings.
