Posts wont update

    I have had to switch off Classic Editor – which I found a boon – because it no longer preserves any edits I make to posts or pages after the most recent WP update.
    I can edit as usual but the minute I press ‘update’ it spits me out into the dashboard view of posts with all my edits lost.

    Is this a temporary glitch that will be fixed or would I have to fix it myself? I’m hopeless at coding anything but the most basic HTML/ CSS tags and terrified of PHP.

    Any reassurances appreciated. Thanks.

    Has WP 5.2.1 changed anything?

    Otherwise:

    1. Clear all caches (including the browser’s cache for your site)
    2. When you’re in the post editor, check for errors in the browser console
    3. Check error_log and wp-admin/error_log
    4. Switch to a standard WordPress theme and do 1-3 again
    5. Deactivate all other plugins and do 1-3 again
