posts will not publish to home page

hey everybody,

ok, so i am in desperate need of help. basically, my wordpress posting is spotty. most of the time, i’ll publish a post, and everything will work fine (it will show up on the front page).

however, every now and then, it gets stuck in a rut. i tried posting something yesterday and today, but neither show up unless i make them “sticky”. i am at my wits end.
