try deactivating all plugins and testing
if it works then, re-activate one by one
I only had Jet Pack activated, and I deactivated it. Then I took the time to retype the entire article, but still, it shows up with no spaces between the paragraphs like it’s one longwinded paragraph. My edit doesn’t look like that, but when I “Update” it, it comes out looking goofy. Any idea who I might check with to resolve this? This is quite disconcerting for me. Last time this happened (something similar) I went and set up at blog.com. Oh, wait… Last time this is the kind of thing that happened at Blog.com which is why I moved here to WP. Any help would be appreciated.
If you go to my site at http://www.voicesofthenation.com and look at the most recent 3 posts, they are all goofy. Look at the posts prior and you’ll see how I typically set up my posts. the post called “Race & Sexual Preference Advocates” and “Hippocrite, Liars and Thieves” look like I want them to look, and how the last three SHOULD be looking. I don’t do anything fancy, but my posts do look professional…except for these past 3. Thanks.
seems to be related to this post
Seriously? You’re telling me that a asperand that I used in another post in which I have no problems is causing problems in every post I write afterward? I’m not an html guy. I like WP because I don’t have to know html. So I’m going to go in and change that & to something else and see if my other posts start acting right. That seems a little absurd to me, but thank you if that’s truly the problem.
Samuel: I went back and took the & out of that title but it hasn’t fixed my other posts. What do you recommend? Is Word Press just not going to work for me anymore? Is there any way to fix this that you know of? Also, are you WP support? Is there WP support that I can contact about this? All I could find (and I consider this customer NONsupport when a company does this) were links to these forums, and no way to contact an actual support tech. Thanks in advance.
Another thing I find unfortunate is that seeking help in a forum like this, where there aren’t identified tech support, where one must post a link to the problem blog always has the potential for a lack of accountability in that if someone doesn’t like my politics, they won’t offer their help. Whereas, when there are support techs that are identified as support techs, like Godaddy has, one’s politics never influence anyone. They take care of me regardless of their own political beliefs. I still wonder how many WordPress techs might have read my cry for help, checked out my blog, and then ignored me. Just sayin’.
if that wasn’t it – I can only guess you’re pasting from Word or Office or some other RTE – which adds a lot of garbage
if you are you need to at least c & p into notepad 1st and save
I went in and removed a bunch of remarks like <div> and </div> from throughout the posts. I don’t know where they came from. They just automatically appeared after a failed photo upload. I seem to have solved the problem by removing that crap in the html view.
I’ve retyped everything in my posts. That didn’t fix it. Removing those ‘div’ comments seems to have fixed it all. Thanks much for your help.
