• I recently updated to 3.1 and now when I select new post, all options to add excerpt, custom fields, etc are ALL gone.

    How can this be resolved?

  • I’m with Preston!

But its not just on the new post…its on the new page, too!

Primarily – the ability to disable comments and pingbacks is gone! And that’s a pretty big deal in my world!

Has anyone found a way to bring back that flexibility that Preston and I are looking for?

I’m using WP3.1, and verified this in both IE9 and Firefox.

The website I’m creating is http://test1.bigcheesemarketing.com (the new pages I’ve added are the Charities and Find a Good DJ – both of which have comments enabled on them right now.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Rachel

have you tried deactivating all plugins and testing?

Yes, that was the first thing I did.

    Didn’t work.

I tried changing to the Classic 1.5 theme that came with WP when I installed it, nothing changed.

Thought it was a major bug. Guess I am an idiot!

No Preston, you aren’t an idiot.

I design WP sites for a living and didn’t think to check that first.

WP has had so many rollouts recently, I never know which version I’m going to be working on when I log into each of my sites in the morning.

I’m SO glad you figured it out and thank you SO MUCH for bringing it to my attention.

Can anyone help me please. My website was working just fine last night but this morning I went to log in and noticed that all of my post and page content is missing. It doesn’t appear to be a hack as I can see everything in my sidebars. Any help would b greatly appreciated. My website is http://www.riders4helmets.com (educational helmet awareness campaign). I am not very tech savvy so need stuff explaining simply. THANKS! PS. I have not added any new plugs-in for several weeks.
