While posts seem to be in the order I want them in on this page, the last two posts I added will not remain in the post list where I place them. They default to the most recent position in Posts section of WP Dashboard.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Gregg,

I can see numeric pagination as well, can you please confirm that you are expecting sort order by drag and drop, also normal numeric pagination with archives?

    Thanks,

    Hello Fahad,
Sorry, couldn’t wait. I installed another sort order plugin. But just as an FYI – I had the issue with only 2 posts at first – recently created. The others were fine. Then 2 more began to act up. Choose their own order and despite dragging them to the proper location, it wouldn’t stick. They showed the same order on the public side too.

It means that this plugin requires a sort order update action after each post addition, whenever you add or publish another post so you need to set the sort order. I will surely check it if it can be automated.

I’m not sure what that means or what the workaround might be. I did try to put posts back in the right order but they just wouldn’t stick. I tried editing and saving posts too but no matter what I did, they defaulted back to the incorrect order.

I will work on it for sure, this thread will help me to get it resolved. Thank you.

You said “It means that this plugin requires a sort order update action after each post addition, whenever you add or publish another post so you need to set the sort order. I will surely check it if it can be automated.”

What is “a sort order update action”? There is no button to press to do this. Are you saying every time a new Post is added you need to drop and drag it to establish its order? That is not workable solution for a site that created lots of posts by lots of authors. You need to get a fix out fast.

@lorax What plugin did you end up using?
