resolved this by creating category “podcast” …”episodes” wouldnt be found in that category, but episodes were now viewable through episodes list, even after “podcast” category was deleted.
think it was a theme issue.
Hi there,
I’m glad you got things sorted out on your side. The issue with code being printed out when you saved an episode has now been fixed in v1.1.2 (I just published the change).
The reason you would have been having an issue with episodes not showing is most likely because your category name was ‘podcast’. This would have confused WordPress as it would have created multiple destinations for the same permalink. Once you deleted the ‘podcast’ category you just needed to re-save your site’s permalinks (Settings > Permalinks) and you would have been sorted. Alternatively you can keep the ‘podcast’ category, but change the URL slug on the podcast settings page (Settings > Podcast).
Either way, it seems like you’ve got things working on your side now, so it’s all good.
I have set up a podcast but not uploaded the audio yet but I cannot see how my readers will be able to access the podcast. it doesn’t appear on the menu. what do I do to display it?
Once you have activated the plugin you will need to save your site’s permalinks (Settings > Permalinks) and then your podcast will be available at yoursite.com/podcast – you can change that URL identifier in the podcast settings.
