Support » Plugin: WordPress MU Sitewide Tags Pages » Posts not copied to main blog

  • Hi,

I have a multisite setup. I have 5 blogs and one main blog. I want all posts to be copied to the main blog. I have network activated the plugin, is this correct? or shall I activate for each individual blog? At the moment the only way I get the plugin to work is to manually enter blog id and populated the posts from the plugin settings page, when I first started using the plugin this used to happen automatically. Not sure why this has stopped working?

    Yes.

Are your sub sites set to discourage search engines? Did you add any plugins to your install?

No, none of them are set to discourage search engines.

Not sure what you mean by add plugins to my install? I am using an archive plugin that uses the posts that are copied to the main site by site wide tags and displays them as a image archive…

    My Current Settings are;

    Tags Blog: ENABLED
Blog Name: tags (not sure if this is correct, but it wont let me change it)
    Post to main blog: ENABLED

    Include Pages: ENABLED
    Include Thumbnails: ENABLED
    Privacy: not indexed

    Non-public blogs: ENABLED

Also naturally the image used in a sub blog is not available in the copied post in the main blog, therefore I always have to manually upload the image to the main blog aswell for my archive plugin to work, is there a way to automate this?

It was working & now it’s not. Did you install any plugins between when it was working and when you discovered it was not working?

If you look in the custom fields on the SWT post you will see a field with the thumbnail html. That’s the link to the original image.

Yh because the website is at development stage I did add 2-3 new plugins, I installed a multisite shared media plugin and 2 seo plugins. I removed the shared media plugin hoping it will fix it but it never, it still requires me to populate new posts manually..

You are correct in the SWT posts in main site I can see the url’s to the original image upload, do you think the Image Archive Plugin is not able to display the images? maybe it doesn’t have the functionality to display images from url?

Think I am going to try a new image archive plugin and see if that fixes the image issue.

Do I need to add ‘thumbnail_html’ in the Post Meta box in SWT settings page?

I still have not been able to get sitewide tags to work, the posts are still not being copied to main site unless I do it manually…

    No, that’s done automatically.
