Posts not appearing on homepage

On my homepage I’ve got some widgets showing but the blog is set up to display the latest posts.

However if I make a post it doesn’t get shown on the homepage.

You can see my site at http://www.laymybet.com hopefully you can see the problem.
I’ve added all my other pages as pages, not posts.
However I want to be able to update it with the latest posts etc.
