/wp-admin/post-new.php URL is available for vendors even though the Posts menu item is not shown to them.

That’s because both edit_posts and delete_posts are ON for vendors.

If you hide Posts menu from Vendors, you should also disable the corresponding capabilities for them. If you still want Vendors to be able to edit posts, you should also show the Posts menu item to them.

  • Hi @meglio, thanks again for sharing us valuable suggestions.

We will defiantly take care of this in our next update.

Another possibility would be to make a “News/blog module that could be quite simple:

1/ Each vendor as its own post caterory
2/ Each vendor can post news in its blog.
3/ Markeplace admin can post vendors News on a global new.

This may should be quite simple and a great functionality.

For some reason, Vendors also have edit_others_posts ON by default (can bee seen in the User Role Editor plugin panel).

I +1 for making Posts and Pages available for Vendors – so that they can blog and create pages specific to their store.

As a workaround, I just allowed the corresponding capabilities through the User Roles Manager.

We will look into this @meglio
