[Resolved] Posts in grid or masonry

  • I am very thankful for this theme. It is my first time using LESS and it’s fantastic. For the most part I have stumbled through creating the site I want.. but I cannot figure this out. How do I add a masonry (preferably) or grid posts to this theme? I would like the first post to show the full post, followed by masonry with thumbnails (if available) and excerpts. I have attempted the JS way as well as pure css, but with the loop and the markup being different, I cannot get either way to work completely. My loops is untouched other than commenting out tags/categories in meta data.

    Paste bin of index

This can be accomplished but it isn’t something to really be explained with a simple support request. This is a full featured request that a developer needs to build. Everything from configuring your masonry execution to structuring the posts container/elements will have to be taken into account.

It might be much easier for you and less headache to use a plugin.

That’s a good enough answer for me 🙂 Thank you for the advice.

I didn’t listen and fought my way through. Just a word to anyone else who attempts, with much googling and reading, it is possible! It may not be the cleanest code, but it works. Tutorial
