Support » Fixing WordPress » Posts in columns on front-page (grids) wrongly

  • Posts on front-page are shown as “grids” in 3 columns, the size is not fixed, depends on picture and text (excerpt or cut manually by “more”). It was Ok.

Than I installed WP 3.6 and at the same time new version of the Theme-Visual. After that the grids (on front-page and in archive) are not put properly, there are empty spaces between them. I thought there was problem with the theme or my changes in style.css, but than I tried to install other similar themes (incl. reinstalation original Visual Theme) without any customisations, and the problem stays the same. (I tried to reduce width of the columns, to be sure; but the problem is still there, maybe more in the way or vertical order?..)

I would like at least to know where is the problem? And perhaps how to fix it?

  • Please post in the theme’s own sub-forum:

WPyogi, I could, but I am afraid it is not matter of the (individual one) theme as I tried to describe above. However I can try.

Layout and CSS is entirely theme-specific.

That said, looks like you have caching enabled on your site – so that may be causing problems – try clearing the W3TC cache.

To be sure, I re-installed original Visual Theme and proceeded “empty all caches” (via plugin W3 Total Cache). Then I reloaded website. The problem did not disappear.

Then I tried another, similar Pinbin Theme. Again, “empty all caches”, reloaded website, trying Safari, Mozilla, Chrome. Problem is not disappearing.

Interesting, before instalation of both Themes, in Live Preview, it looks OK. But I have no idea what I should change, adjust to fix the problem.

    Thank you for replies.
