Posts in Category Page opens in new tab

    I’ve been using the List Category Posts plugin on multiple sites and have been quite happy with it. However, on some sites, the posts when clicked open up in new tabs whereas in others they don’t (i.e., they stay on the same tab). I don’t see a setting for this plugin that toggles this function, and for the life of me, I can’t figure out why some sites’ posts open in new tabs and others don’t, especially since the settings, as far as I can tell, are identical in all my sites.

    Please help me figure out why this is or if there’s a setting that turns on or off the post-opens-in-new-tab function. Thank you!

    What is the shortcode you are using on that page?

    Hi, I had a quick glance at your site, the issue is caused by the Link Whisper plugin. If you disable it the issue will be fixed, or maybe the plugin’s settings can be tweaked somehow.

    All I can say is that the JS script that plugin adds to your site changes all LCP links by adding target="_blank" to all <a> elements, this is the cause of the problem.
