 * I manage a church website that needs to comply with UK accessibility guidelines.
 * I run the WAVE extension and some of the posts on this page show an EMPTY LINK
   error.
 * I have tried creating a new post and still, the error exists. I can’t find out
   how to stop this from happening as it isn’t all of the posts? But it definitely
   occurs in my test posts.
 * I am very new to the ACCESSIBILITY issues and wondered if anyone could point
   me in the right direction?
 * Many thanks,
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fposts-generating-empty-link-error%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * I tested several of your individual pages, and I didn’t find any “empty link”
   errors.
 * The only URLs that had this error are archive-type URLs, like the “news” page
   where your latest posts live, category archives, month archives, etc. The code
   for these kinds of webpages live inside your theme, and not the WordPress editor.
 * The only way to fix this is to make code changes in your theme’s PHP files (perhaps
   via a child theme). But your site uses the commercial theme “zeeMintyPro” which
   we don’t have access to here at WordPress.org. This makes it impossible for us
   to offer you any further assistance here.
 * Normally, we’d ask users in your situation to contact your theme’s author for
   help, as authors are in the best position to support their own products. But
   it appears your particular theme was [retired by the author years ago](https://themezee.com/retired-themes/).
 * So instead of toiling to fill this leaky bucket, now would be the perfect time
   to find a new modern theme which has assessability as a top priority.
 * Good luck!

 * Hi George,
 * Thank you for taking the time to reply. It was very helpful and made me realise
   where to edit the code and I just removed the offending line.
 * The short term problem is solved and now I can get the Parish Council to organise
   a new upgraded ‘Accessible’ website.
 * Thanks again
