Support » Theme: Deli » Posts font very small

  • Anyone any idea how to change the size of the ‘very small’ font in my posts within the sidebars, it is almost unreadable.

    I am using the DELI theme in Storefront – see here:

    Thanks in advance

  • Hey there Woodcock02,

    Hope you’re well today 🙂

    This should be possible to change with some custom CSS. Please try adding the following CSS code in the style.css file of your child theme or if your theme doesn’t have custom CSS tab add it in your site using the following plugin:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css

    #secondary .widget a {
        font-size: 11px;
    }

    Increase the numeric value to what ever suits you the most 🙂

    If the code doesn’t work please keep it added and let me know so I can take a look 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    You, Sir, are a genius !!!

    No, if only:

    1. I could remove that annoying drop down arrow in the main nav
    2. Change the black background of that ‘Older Products’ thing at the bottom
    and finally. . .

    3. Move the price label ticket in single product view to the bottom under the add to basket. I have had a suggestion for this but it crashes the plugin – add_action( 'init', 'jk_move_price' );
    function jk_move_price() {
    remove_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_price', 10 );
    add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_template_single_price', 30 );
    }
    I would be so happy :-)) And happy to donate via Paypal too !
    Just repairing a burst cistern which went at 5.00am, water through the ceiling etc., so not really a great start to the day 🙁
    kind regards
    C

    Hey again,

    That definitely doesn’t sound like a good start of the day 🙁

    To remove the drop down arrow in the navigation please add the following:

    .main-navigation ul.menu > li > a:after {
        display: none;
    }

    For the background color of Older Products you can try adding the following:

    #infinite-handle span {
        background: #5389B2;
    }

    This should change its color to match the add to cart buttons above. If you want another color just replace color hex value with another one. You can use sites similar to this one to get hex value for the color of your choice: http://www.color-hex.com/.

    As for moving the price label below the add to basked button I can’t really say what’s wrong with that code since I’m not really that familiar with WooCommerce (it’s possible that it’s just a syntax error since you could pasting it in the “wrong place”) but you should be able to achieve the same thing with some custom CSS, so please try adding the following:

    .single-product div.product .summary {
        position: relative;
    }

    .single-product div.product .summary .price {
        position: absolute;
        bottom: 0;
        right: 0;
    }

    This should place it below the add to basked button, since the button starts overlapping the one above on smaller resolutions you can add the following to add some space there only on smaller resolutions:

    @media screen and (max-width: 768px) {
    .single-product div.product form.cart {
        padding: 2.618em 0;
    }
    }

    Hope this makes your day a bit better 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Yeaay !

    As I said you are an ABSOLUTE genius !!

    Thank you so much – perhaps this will tax you

    .page-id-990 #breadcrumbs {
    display: none;
    }

    Does not remove the breadcrumbs on that page – in fact nothing I try removes any breadcrumbs.

    PLEASE send me a link to donate, I hate being frustrated and this has solved so much for me
    kind regards
    Colin

    Hey again Colin,

    Glad I could help and thanks for the kind words!

    For breadcrumbs I’m not really sure what you’re referring to and also which page is that (since you’re using pretty permalinks it’s hard for me to find it). If this is what you’re looking to remove http://screencast.com/t/6wAlFB2OL3QR then you’re not targeting the correct clas, this should remove it:

    .site-content nav.woocommerce-breadcrumb {
        display: none;
    }

    If this is not what you’re trying to remove please post link to the page where I can see that and I’ll try to help with some CSS.

    PLEASE send me a link to donate, I hate being frustrated and this has solved so much for me

    You’re not allowed to do that here due to WordPress.org forum rules, either way I’m just here to help out and represent my awesome company WPMU DEV 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Speechless !

    I couldn’t find out if your plugin ‘Subscribe by email’ is compatible with DELI and Storefront. Looks good as a starter 🙂

    Thanks again for the awesome tips – taken me three months of forum posts to find u !

    take care

    Hey Colin,

    Happy to help!

    I couldn’t find out if your plugin ‘Subscribe by email’ is compatible with DELI and Storefront. Looks good as a starter 🙂

    Subscribe by email should work on all themes but that also depends on the theme so if you run into any issues please let us know 🙂

    Have a great day!

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Thanks

    Do you make (or know of) a plugin that lets you see and manage (delete, edit etc) the customers that register on the site ? How do I check if someone is registered or not ? On my old site I could browse all the customer records.

    Cheers
    Colin

    Hey Colin,

    Generally you should be able to see all registered users in your admin in Users -> All Users.

    I’ve also checked WooCommerce to see if there is a place where you can see customers and their details and you should be able to see this in WooCommerce -> Reports -> Customers http://screencast.com/t/sCaabO2wL.

    I’ve also found multiple plugins that allow you all kinds of customer management for WC specifically but with the above I don’t believe you’re going to need that.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Ha !
    Never thought of looking there, I look at reports in a totally different way, certainly not as a list of clients etc.

    However – that only shows me people who have ordered. I have imported clients from my old website, so there are no orders associated with them – how do I see them ??

    I will search for customer management – thanks again for all your help, it is so refreshing to be able to actually progress, rather than be stumped all the time. But I must say that WP is a VERY steep learning curve for someone who grew up with a MAC.

    take care and enjoy life 🙂

    Hey,

    As I mentioned above I’m not really a WooCommerce expert and I’m not familiar with the features of the plugin and all of its add ons.

    Apparently there are some add ons that allow you to export/import users/orders, you can find more info here http://www.woothemes.com/products/customerorder-csv-import-suite/.

    This is a paid add on and it’s possible that I’ve missed something and this is also possible without using it. I’d suggest seeking assistance on WC forums.

    Take care 🙂

    I have found a solution, so thanks, will investigate the ‘subscribe to email’ plugin too. Finally it looks like we can send this live.

    Just got to find out how to remove the annoying space above the slide show on the home page – it seems way too big – any pointers ??

    Have a great day and thanks again
    C

    Hey again Colin,

    There is padding on two elements that could be reduced, I’ve added home in the selector it doesn’t affect other pages since you’re not having the same issue there.

    Please try adding the following:

    @media screen and (min-width: 768px) {
    .home #content .deli-content-wrapper {
        padding-top: 0;
    }
    .home .deli-content-wrapper div#primary {
        padding-top: 0;
    }
    }

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Awesome – you have made someone very happy !!

    I wish I could do the same for you – have a great day !!

    I will spread the word . . .
    Colin

    Hey Colin,

    Glad I managed to do that 🙂

    Have a great day too!

    Cheers,
    Bojan
