Posts exist in database but dashboard says there aren't any

    Hi

    I am experiencing a strange fault with my site, http://broughtongirlsfooty.co.uk/

    The posts table disappeared from the database after a recent backup. I’ve no idea how that happened.

    So I created a new database and imported a previous backup that contained the posts.

    So far so good.

    But although I can see the posts and pages, the WP dashboard can’t! When I go to edit>posts, it says there are no posts even though (as you can see from this screenshot – http://bit.ly/Anzy9A ) there are more than 630 posts in the database.

    I’ve also had to change the front page of the site to a static page as my latest posts page says ‘there are no posts in the database’

    There seems to be some sort of communication breakdown between the site and the database but I don’t know what it is.

    Any ideas?
