# Posts containing “http://” or “https://” won’t save

 * This is super weird and I’m stumped. All of a sudden out of nowhere on the production
   site we were unable to save posts. When you would click “Update” you would immediately
   get an error. In Chrome it’s:
 * This page isn’t working
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
 * The error varies by browser but pretty much the same. The site, then can’t be
   reached for a few moments. But then goes back to normal. After much testing we
   discovered only posts referencing a link (image, pdf, other page etc) were doing
   this. Eventually we decided to set up a completely brand new WordPress installation
   to test this. On the brand new installation using 2019 theme, and no other plugins
   except for the classic editor, any post that contains the characters “[https://&#8221](https://&#8221);
   or “[http://&#8221](http://&#8221); causes this problem.
 * Also note that not only does the site on which you try to save quit working.
   All other sites on the same cPanel account are unreachable too. It appears that
   the process for saving a post with those characters does something to PHP globally
   on the server, from which it can’t recover.. usually it takes about 30 seconds
   or so before the sites become reachable again.
 * This is on GoDaddy “ultimate” cPanel hosting with the php set to either 7.1 or
   7.2.
 * Again, note that on the test installation we created nothing but “[https://&#8221](https://&#8221);
   or “[http://&#8221](http://&#8221); (preceeded by src= or href= etc) needs to
   appear in the editor to cause this issue. That alone with no other text trigger
   the problem. Any ideas?
