Posts aren’t being deleted when deleting author

    Hello,

    I’ve come across an unusual error with a website that I look after for a customer. What’s happening is when an author is deleted from the site (and their posts are selected to be deleted as well), it completes without any errors but the posts are still present. I’m not sure if it’s relevant but the post type in question is a custom post type.

    Can anyone advise?

    This is how you do it:

    1. First go to ‘All Posts’
    2. Then filter by author name
    3. select all posts and delete them
    4. then delete the author id

    Hi Mayaprakash,

    Thanks for that but I thought the idea of deleting the author (and telling it to also remove the posts) was to remove the need to have to delete the posts first? I’m just concerned that potentially we have other sites that we look after that could have the same issue.
