• For some reason, all of our posts are appearing like a big paragraph, without any of the spaces between paragraphs. I hadn’t noticed this before, but that may be because I haven’t logged in to do maintenance in awhile. We just updated to WP 3.1.3.

For context, our site is widb.net.

The latest post is supposed to look like this:

    Hey Everybody,
As some of you may know, the Remedy stream went down just a year or two ago due to a console getting fried. After a semester of being off air, we were able to return it, but in a limited capacity – the only console we could afford at the time could only support 2 studio microphones.

As of this Saturday, we’re excited to be bring the Remedy back to it’s full capacity, on par with the Revolution. I will be installing a new console with 4 studio microphones, as well as creating a new studio layout. An overhaul of this size means that the Remedy’s stream will be down for a few hours. That’s why we’re choosing to do it during the summer, when our listenership drops off some, and we won’t have nearly as many DJ shows for it to interfere with.

So, expect that the Remedy will be unavailable on Saturday, July 2nd from 5-8pm.
The stream should be back online in full capacity after this time.

I have to say I’m pretty excited to be doing this installation. It’s long overdue, and it should really enhance the shows on the Remedy.

Thanks to all our listeners, supporters, and DJs, without whom this woudn’t be possible.

As you can see, it does not.

  • Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Normally when inputting a post into the html or visual editor every paragraph gets wrapped in

    <p> words </p>

    tags. Yours however, are not

Do you have some sort of plugin or theme function stripping that out?

If the paragraph tags get back in there, you’ll be fine. Without them, there is nothing telling a browser how to display your posts

Er, here is the actual post:
    http://www.widb.net/wp/2011/06/remedydownjuly2/

I don’t think we have any plugins that should be messing with that.
    Active Plugins:
    Quick Page/Post Redirect
    SI Captcha Anti-Spam
    Social Profiles Widget
    Sticky Manager
    Stout Google Calendar
    Ultimate Google Analytics
    WP-FLV
    WP Publication Archive
    WP Super Cache

Edit: also, we haven’t done any theme revisions or changes to the CSS in a long time.

Yup, I looked at the post, that’s how I knew your paragraph tags were missing.

    You have absolutely none

So I’d have to guess either theme or plugins.

You haven’t made any theme changes, and it used to work correctly?

If that’s the case then all I can think of is plugins….

I’d try testing with all plugins inactive, just to rule things out

If that doesn’t work, then testing with the twentyten theme active is the next thing.

It’s kind of a pain, but that’s really the only way to narrow down the issue
