Posts and RSS/Atom feed

  • The Visual theme is great, and it does everything I need except this:

RSS/Atom feeds are important to me even if they aren’t to Google. One thing I’ve noticed with Visual is that for an image to display on the masonry page as I want, the image needs to be set as the featured image. However, for someone who looks at the feed, the featured image is not shown in the post.

Obviously, a feed from a photoblog that doesn’t show the image in an image post is not ideal.

I can solve this by inserting the actual image into the post, but then I get the picture displayed twice in the actual post.

Is there a way around this? Ideally, one way might be to have an option to NOT display the featured image in posts, so that I can add the actual images myself in the body of the post wherever I want it to be without there being that featured image at the top.
