# %postname% vs. %post_id%

 * Okay, maybe I am just too new to this, but, when I try to create a permalink 
   with the %postname% tag, I get the Post ID instead of the name.
 * Is this a known problem, or am I doing something wrong?

 * P.S. I did a search on this topic and didn’t find anything on it so that leads
   me to believe that I am doing something wrong.
 * P.P.S. I am using v1.5

 *  Thank you for the quick reply. You are right, that one works as advertised.
 *  Unfortunately, I am a newbie and try as I might, I can’t find anything that 
   tells me how to check, or modify, a post slug.
 *  Can you, or some other kind reader, point me in the right direction?

 * Never mind. If you ever see anyone else as stupid or blind as me, (who can’t 
   see the silly “Post Slug” option) feel free to shove them up against a wall and
   force them to listen to GW Bush speeches.

    Nice design, BTW… and the subtitle somehow brings it
   close to my topics (the few ones that I wrote, LOL)
