Having searched the topic and read a number of threads on Ajax errors on Test, it’s happening to my install as well. Possibly related, my Contact Form 7 forms no longer submit. Things have worked fine since January 2016. This is a late occurrence, perhaps with the latest Dreampress WP version upgrade (to 4.6), or Postman plugin upgrade to 1.7?

Here’s one of the forms: http://www.theconnectionsmodel.com/contact/

Earlier today I read one possible solution was to upgrade to PHP 5.6 which I did this afternoon up from 5.5; to no improvement.

All configurations appear correct. I even created a completely fresh set of credentials in the Google Developer Console for OAuth 2.0. Connectivity test passes.

    Here’s diagnostic:

    OS: Linux wp479526 3.1.9-vs2.3.2.5vs2.3.2.5+ #3 SMP Wed Feb 12 13:51:29 PST 2014 x86_64
    PHP: Linux 5.6.24 C
    PHP Dependencies: iconv=Yes, spl_autoload=Yes, openssl=Yes, sockets=Yes, allow_url_fopen=Yes, mcrypt=Yes, zlib_encode=Yes
    WordPress: 4.6 en_US UTF-8
    WordPress Theme: Salient
WordPress Plugins: Akismet, Contact Form 7, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP, Salient Visual Composer, MailChimp, Postman SMTP, Simple Wp Sitemap, Varnish HTTP Purge, Verify Google Webmaster Tools, WP Super Cache
    WordPress wp_mail Filter(s): wp_staticize_emoji_for_email
    WordPress phpmailer_init Action(s): wpcf7_phpmailer_init
    Postman: 1.7.2
    Postman Sender Domain (Envelope|Message): theconnectionsmodel.com | theconnectionsmodel.com
Postman Prevent Message Sender Override (Email|Name): Yes | Yes
    Postman Active Transport: SMTP (smtp:tls:oauth2://smtp.gmail.com:587)
Postman Active Transport Status (Ready|Connected): Yes | Yes
    Postman Deliveries (Success|Fail): 100 | 17
    Postman TCP Timeout (Connection|Read): 100 | 600
    Postman PHP LogLevel: 10000

You can see that the values in Postman Deliveries (100 | 17) show it had been working in the past.

Error Log is set to debug but is not logging errors. Hmmm.

I’m stymied. Any insight? Thanks for your good work.

Concerned that our heroic plugin developer hasn’t been active here in a couple months, I’ve disabled the plugin, and forms are now correctly submitting.

    Hi, have same problem here.
    I don’t have Contact Form 7 installed (I use wp_mail).

Everything worked fine until now, but now upgraded to WordPress 4.6 and Postman SMTP 1.7.2 installed, when sending test email the plugin warns me about ajax error.

The mail is delivered, but when my own contact form, which uses ajax to send mails with wp_mail, doesn’t work properly. The messages are sent, but there is no response from server, so the visitor stucks with the progress indicator, and never knows if his email has been sent or not.

I would highly appreciate if somebody could help with this.
Maybe the problem is my side, although came with the upgades.

    Same issue on my side.
I use PlanSo forms which is not usable with postman after updating WP to 4.6.1.

    Deactivating Postman fixed the issue.

Any developments on this topic? I have the same problem with other plugins: PTA Volunteer Sheets, BP Group E-mail subscription and all WP core e-mails. It only occurs on my production site, not ons my dev site. Have not found a suitable alternative to Postman yet.
