Posting upon login

Hi,

What we have is a password protected blog set up. The only way any content on the blog can be seen is if the user is first logged into the blog. What we would like is to have a form on the main index page where these users can post to the blog without having to go into the dashboard. Kind of like comments, but have it post actual short blog postings. Kind of like twitter.
