• Hello,

I am working on a couple of few WordPress sites at the moment and am needing the posts from one automatically posted to another too. Currently, I am using a plugin, CyberSyn, but it seems to lack the feature of importing to feature images of the posts. I use buffer for social media accounts and am looking for a WordPress CMS that works in a similar manner. Does anyone know of a plugin that can achieve this result?

    Thank you,

  • CyberSyn uses RSS or Atom feeds so you’re somewhat stuck with whatever the website outputs as the Feed.

You can set the feed to output the full text but then you’ll have provided the full text and content to any visitor using a RSS reader so there’s no reason for them to ‘read more’ on your originating site… that reduces your site visitors from that avenue.

It also means that anyone syndicating your content onto their site is being fed the full article. That’s not what you want. You need to be giving those people concatenated content or ‘excerpts’ where they then provide a ‘read more’ link.

For syndicating content within your own sites, take a look at ‘Syndicate Out’ which allows the host server to send a post upstream to another server for import via the XMLRPC service on the recipient side.

I think that’s what you really want.

I use the Broadcast plugin and it works great. I was worried about canonical and cannibalizing our content by having duplicate publications, but so far so good. I’m using the free version and they have plenty of add-on options.
