Yes, I can upload a photo and post it to my blog with no problem. I was wondering if I could put a file consisting of many photos on the server so my users could click on the folder and view several pictures? Thanks for your help.
I see.
It’s not recommended to make files publicly accessible, but you could use something like the NextGEN gallery plugin to achieve what you’re trying to do.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/
It will allow you upload multiple directories and images and have display them in gallery format.

Thank you for your advise on getting NextGEN. I did and it works just fine. I am still trying to create a Post that shows a link instead of all the pictures. My main purpose of my blog is to create a blog for the family tree. In the blog I present a Genealogy report of some 400+ names and I do this with a PDF. Now I would like to show many pictures, some 200, of the families over the years.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, that looks good, but since I have the Genealogy register already posted from the family tree maker all I want to do now is show the pictures.
