# Posting programmatically via Atom or XMLRPC

 * Greetings,
 * I’ve discovered how simple, robust and amazing WordPress is just yesterday (and
   had my blog setup in 10 minutes !). However, I have one burning need that I currently
   don’t know how to fulfill.
 * I have all my old blog entries stored on my PC, and I want to upload them to 
   my new WordPress powered blog ([http://eliben.awardspace.com/blog/](http://eliben.awardspace.com/blog/))
 * The XMLRPC solutions WordPress support don’t seem to be enough because they don’t
   allow posting with “back dates” (i.e. I want to post my entry from January 1st
   to appear as posted on January 1st).
 * The Atom feed doesn’t seem to support posting – or at least it’s different from
   what I’m used to (I can’t find link rel=”service.post” in the Atom page).
 * Please advise
