# Posting Javascript Error

 * Hi guys,
 * I’m no newbie to WordPress, but my boss has brought to my attention that his 
   Word Press has slowed down and has become unusable.
 * The error has popped up since the upgrade to 2.9.2, I have rolled back a version
   and still no joy. So I disabled all plugins, still no joy so re-upgraded to 2.9.2
   and still no joy.
 * The error occurs on the new post page where we get the following error.
 * `A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can
   stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.`

 * Have you tried:
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download
   of WordPress?
 * – [increasing your available memory](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/253495#post-1017842)?
