After upgrading to 1.4.32, Postie is now posting to two categories – the Postie default (Dispatches in this case), as well as the WordPress default (General in this case).

In the past it just posted to the single default Postie category. Has something in the code changed to cause this behavior?

    Thanks.

  • Ok, after some further research, looks like it was a WP security script that was conflicting. Disregard, thanks.

Thanks for the update. Can you give some more details in case someone else runs into this issue?

To be honest with you, no idea… Just noticed when I disable the “Better WP Security” plugin it started working normally again (seems it blocked autoposting to my Facebook page as well.) My guess is that it was being blocked by the code it put into .htaccess to deny directory access, but I didn’t really debug it too much – just deleted the security plugin.

The other thing that plug in does is change the ID of the admin user from 1 to a random number… that could have done it too..

    Thanks for the additional info
