# Posting directly into WordPress databases

 * I have been trying to port certain data from one of my news websites over to 
   WordPress without me having to re-enter the items through the admin panel.
 * I think I’m having an authentication problem which is why I haven’t been able
   to get cURL to work. However, I was wondering if I can post these directly into
   the wordpress databases.
 * Is this possible, for one? Secondly, which tables are updated when there is a
   new post? Will it still ping the new post if I insert it directly into the wordpress
   database?
