  • I’d like some discussion please–I propose that the Wiki have a “sandbox” of sorts for people to post code and discuss the relative benefits or issues with that code. Once a hack or idea is basically accepted, it should then be moved into the hacks area of the Wiki.
Matt (allusion) has recently been encouraging people to do this, so I thought I would post this and get feedback on how best to set up the Wiki to allow for sandboxing and final posting of a bit of tested and proven code.
The Wiki belongs to the community, and it is up to us to effectively use and manage it.

Also what’s really cool about it is that if anyone makes improvements to the code (to make it faster, smaller, more standards compliant, etc) then you have a tracking of the changes made and you can do a diff between the versions to see what has changed. Use the wiki!

I think it would help if there were a more visible link to the wiki on the WP site itself… I think few people use the wiki because it’s not all that visible – the forums are right out there baby! 😛

very strange, there seems to be no direct link to the wiki from the forums.
maybe hack on the top panel (which is currently used to redirect to the forums) can be replaced with WIKI 😉

Wow, bumping a 21 month old topic to say nothing. Good job.
