I also noticed that the Initial text from the root email message is not transferred to the postie post, just the subject line.
Sound like something else is going on. Please install the support AddOn and run some samples then send the log files to help@postieplugin.com

Postie is great! When an email reply is sent to the monitored postie email address, postie treats the reply as WP comment which is amazingly great but I am not getting the full reply text – just the first word. Can this be fixed?
