# Postgres support?

 * I was wondering if there are any plans to support postgres.
    If not, does anybody
   know how difficult adding this support would be? (meaning I would do it) -=John

 * I would dig around wp-db.php and see what you can do with that and possibly switching
   it out with the postgres version of ezSQL.

 * AFAIK, there’s no intention to support it. You might post to the hackers list
   and ask.

 * There have been several initiatives to get PostGreSQL support (as well as other
   databases) in WordPress, including a working port of 1.2. You can find information
