post_status=future doesn’t change on time

Hello,

I’m trying to change the date of my post to future by editing the database using phpmyadmin and I did a test by changing Post_date and post_date_gmt column to future date and post_status=”future” instead of “publish”.

when the ‘future’ date arrived, the post_status column doesn’t change to “publish”, it remains status as “future” and the post doesn’t show up on my wp either.

can anyone help on this? what am i missing over here?
